Joanne Lofeudo ‘Short’ Bio
As a teenager Joanne Lofeudo literally “ran away from the circus” in which she was a performer and an acrobat. She ran to Mumbai India for what became a very transformative year in her development as an artist. This incredible experience changed how she saw the world and the people in it.
So began a life long love affair with photography, traveling and yoga. She has since traveled the world taking photos.
Joanne’s framed photographs, photo cards and photo products have been shown in exhibitions and galleries throughout B.C. and Alberta, including the Edmonton Art Gallery, The University of Alberta Museums Gallery, The Peachland Art Gallery, Kelowna International Airport Skyway Gallery, The Rotary Centre For The Arts Gallery, The Laurel Packinghouse Museum, Artsco Solo Exhibition, Downtown Gallery Kelowna, SWAC Gallery (West Kelowna Arts Council) and Gallery 97 in Peachland.
Joanne’s work is currently available at select galleries and shops throughout the Okanagan.
Her photograph titled ‘Beautiful Okanagan’ won 1st prize and was made into be a limited edition Canada Post stamp.
Her work has been published in the Official Visitor Guide for Peachland 2017 and 2018, the cover and a 2 page article for the Westside Weekly Magazine (Summer 2017), and the cover of the West Kelowna Newspaper. (Sept.2017)
Joanne was a Board Member on the West Kelowna Arts Council (SWAC) 2016-2018. She was involved in many aspects of the Art Council, including the SWAC Gallery and organizing the Culture Days 2017 events which won the award for Best Culture Days for the under 50,000 population. She has juried art shows and curated Art Exhibitions.
Joanne relocated to Edmonton in April 2018 and is working on a new collection for the Edmonton art scene.
